Owner types follow the forms each investor files with the SEC: 13F, Forms 3/4/5, 13D or 13G, in that order of precedence (an investor that files both 13F and Forms 3/4/5, such as Carl Icahn, counts as a 13F filer). Big Three is Vanguard, BlackRock and State Street.
